About Nevermore Design
Back in 1991, fresh out of college, many small businesses worked with us for graphics, logos and advertisements. It was a different world then, of dark rooms, masterful knife work and great photography. We called ourselves Twister Productions because of the fact, we chased storms in the spring.
Through the 1990’s we continued to work with smaller businesses for advertisement and graphics. We also grew as a photography company; getting hired for weddings, portraits and special events. This was a pre-internet era, and things that took 1 hour today, took 5 hours then. It was a great learning experience and we gained many business partners and friends.
By the late 90’s, Twister Productions picked up and moved to North Carolina. Taking with them most of their clientele. But the times were changing and Twister Productions was changing along with them. This was a good time for the company as new skill sets were learned. After the millennia, Twister Productions moved back to NY with the express intent to stay.
When Twister Productions returned to Western New York, they opened a studio and named it Eastline Studios. It started out slow but quickly gained momentum and was on its way to be successful. Then, one of the darkest days of United States history; 9-11. The studios appointments fell off, clients did not call and it seemed as though business just stopped for photography. After a year, the studio could not continue and shut it’s doors.
The internet has taken off and since then we have built upwards of 30 websites. At first it was built with HTML, CSS and ingenuity. It was an era in web design we like to call bubblegum and popsicle sticks. There was no true guidelines on how websites were to be made, but it was a great learning experience. With advancements of things like PHP and Content Management Systems creativity is at a maximum and client satisfaction is at an all time high.
In the mid-2000’s the company decided to shake things up a little and change their name. After about a year of kicking around many ideas, one name kept coming up… Nevermore Design. Being a fan of literature and poetry, Edgar Allen Poe has been a favorite. It was decided and the name was changed.
Since then the business has reached through out the western half of New York state including Watertown, Syracuse, Ithaca, Rochester and Buffalo. Nevermore Design donates time and efforts to a great cause; Thousand Island Habitat for Humanity. They have also helped out with many non-profit organizations and local animal shelters.
The company was built to be an asset to a client and create things that not only the business will like but the world. We base our efforts on giving the client exactly what they want, not what we think they want. Now with the fly by nights offering free everything and then disappearing when you need help, know that Nevermore Design is 23 years STRONG and here to stay.
